Athletics-Specific Coaching Course
Get Set Go coaching pathway
Targeting athletes aged 3-8 years
Only Athletics New Zealand-endorsed clubs can offer the Get Set Go programme during club nights. Get Set Go coaching courses will be organised on request.
· Get Set Go Level 1: This two hour course is free of charge for endorsed clubs. It is an introduction to the programme to enable parent-helpers to support the programme during club night.
· Get Set Go Level 2: This one day course is free of charge for endorsed clubs. This is a course aimed at coaches running the programme during club night. The course will explain the philosophy of the programme and cover a variety of the programmes activities.

Run-Jump-Throw coaching pathway
Targeting athletes aged 5-10 years
· Run Jump Throw Level 1: This two hour Run Jump Throw training course will introduce parents and primary school teachers to fundamental athletics skill development. Courses will be organised during children’s club nights at the start of the summer season. Sessions can be held at your school or school cluster for a minimum of 10 participants per course.
· Run Jump Throw Level 2: This one day Run-Jump-Throw training course is aimed at club coaches who run event stations during club night. The course focuses more in debt on the Run Jump Throw programme.
Development coaching pathway
Targeting athletes aged 10 years +
Courses in all events are organised on request. The duration of a course is approximately 4 hours. Click Here for further information.
Personal Development courses, covering all events in a shorter time frame, are available for secondary school teachers on request.
Performance coaching pathway
Targeting athletes aged 19 years +
Entry into the Performance coaching pathway is by invitation only.
