Athletics Otago

Traditionally the Summer Season focus around Track & Field. Check in with your club to see when club night is, or to see what other soical & training opportunites are offered. Athletics Otago runs an Interclub competition for both Children & Seniors most Saturdays. All Senior Otago events are open to club registered, high school and community athletes. To take an Otago Title or Trophy you need to be Registered Competitive with an Otago Club.

For Athletics NZ & Athletics Otago Events, registered Club members receive a discounted entry fee.

3000m Spring Challenge 2024 - In conjunction with the University of Otago and Athletics Otago

Thursday 19th September 2024, 6:30pm start - ENTER HERE

The event is an open race where all age grades compete together. Athletics Otago reserves the right to seed an A race with mixed gender or run seperate gender races.

The fastest 3 females and the fastest 3 males will receive prize money as follows - 1st $150, 2nd $75 and 3rd $25. The first male and female University of Otago student home will receive the Lovelock Medal.
