Open to both Community & Club Registered Runners & Walkers BUT only a Registered Competitive Athletics Otago Athlete can take an Otago Title.

Saturday 19 August 2023 - Shared Pathway - Magnet Street Entrance - Dunedin - First Race 1:00pm
All runners complete a there and back course towards St Leondards & return.
Entries close Friday 18th August at 6:00pm. Entries will be received after this time on payment of a $10 late fee.

Race Walk Champsionship Race - All Grades - Distances varies with age
EVENT 2: 1:30pm
U8 1km Fun Fun Sign Up or Turn up on the Day.
EVENT 3: 1:40pm
Boys & Girls U10(2km), U12(2km), U14(3km), U16(4km)
EVENT 4: 2:15pm
Participants 16+ can choose to Run or Walk the Open 5km which is not a Championship event.

Ages are taken as at 31 December 2023 except that Masters ages are on the day
Toilet facilities are available close to the start/finish line.
Competition Number/Bib: All athletes are required to check in 20 min prior to the start of the race to collect their race bib. Bibs will be collected immediately after the race. Does not apply to the U8 Fun run.
Club Marshals: Three people per club required - reporting time at the finish line 1.15pm although some people will be helping with the race walk and will be required to report at 12.45pm.
Safety Message: All runners to keep to the left-hand side of the shared pathway unless passing another runner. Please be aware that the shared pathway is open to other users, including other runners, walkers and cyclists.
Medal & Certificate Presentations will be held at the completion of each event. Medals will be awarded to the first 3 finishers in each age group. Certificates will be awarded to the winning team in each age group and the placegetters in the Open 5 km Run & Walk.
Athletics Otago Winter Points Event: This race attracts the following points for registered Athletics Otago members; 5 points for participation, 3, 2,1 for placing 1st, 2nd, 3rd respectively.
